We hope you will take advantage of the Sunday to explore Perth and surrounds.  Enjoy a day trip out to Rottnest Island, take a River Cruise along the Swan River or visit Fremantle Markets, Fremantle Prison, Kings Park and Perth Zoo.  Suggestions have been shown below.  We suggest you contact colleagues in advance of the trip to create your own itinerary, there’s so much to see and do!! 

 Rottnest Island:

Perth’s Barrack Street Jetty is a 13-minute walk from the Duxton.  Ferries depart frequently from 8.30am and take approximately 90 minutes.  To book your ferry online click here.

A range of options are available to get around the island including hiring a bike with options from the Rotto Mini Loop which takes just 30 minute or you can do the full 22 km island loop takes anywhere from three to five hours, varying by how many stops you make along the way. You can find more information about the trail in the guide to cycling on Rottnest Island here, as well as shorter options if you don’t have enough time – or energy – for the entire loop.

Otherwise, you can take the Quokka Coaches Island Explorer hop-on-hop-off bus, with 19 stops around the island.  There are also bus tours that offer a relaxing way to explore the island in the comfort of an air-conditioned coach with insightful commentary along the way.

 Swan River Cruises:

There are so many options to see the beautiful skyline of Perth from the water while enjoying a cruise on the Swan River and maybe even tack on a winery discovery. 

Try a cruise along the Swan River to Fremantle or a cruise to the Swan Valley.
